End of Year Parent Letter
I cannot believe how fast the end of the year has come! Here are a few reminders as we near the Spring recitals on May 13th and 14th!!
Please read- there is important info in this letter :)
* Please have your children to class these next two weeks unless they are sick- we need everyone there so they are prepared for the recital. :)
* I have posted the final recital program in your sportsengine motion app under the events tab. You can also access this on the website under Events. This has the program, information about arrival time and the recital. It has the link to purchase a recital digital download or DVD and it has the hair and makeup information for each routine your child is in.
* There is no additional charge at the door the the recitals, the $25.00 recital fee that was due in April covers all spectators so bring family and friends :)
* Please make sure your account if paid in full prior to the recital. I have had so many people in the past that have not paid their bills and then skipped out that I do not allow anyone who's account hasn't been paid in full to participate. Since it is so close to after My 10th, please make sure that the May payment will go through. As always, if you want to avoid the sportsengine fees you can venmo me @Jeanine-Nielson prior to the 10th.
* Photos were sent out by email from hellodancerphotography, if you haven't received yours please check your junk mail. If not, you can email them at hellodancerphotography.com and they will help you get those proofs.
* Summer session begins on June 3rd. Registration for that is on your app or on the website.
*** We will be moving our cheer gym right after the recital in May! Onstage Dance Studio is closing down their Cedar Studio, they offered us the chance to take over their space. My landlord has been great, but is increasing prices and has other conditions that are not super favorable to my business that I would have to pass on to you all. The large space over there is great for both dance and cheer, however because the cheer space is in the shape of an L here, it is less than ideal for our larger cheer teams and because cheer has grown a lot over the past few years, we are not reallly able to grow or add classes in our current space. This space will allow us to do that! The parking lot is another issue and moving to the Onstage location will alleviate most of these problems. The new address 599 N. 800 W. suite 1 (we have other suites there as well, but that is where Cheer and Tumbling will be) While I love our current location more, this space will allow us to grow and it will be better for classroom instruction.
I woud love to move both dance and cheer over there this summer, however I do need once more dance space to move, so that timeline is not determined yet. For now, cheer and tumbling will be moving and starting classes over there when summer session begins on June 3rd (and comp cheer team parent meeting and tryouts will be held there as well). Dance will remain at our same location for the summer. With tumbling moving over there, that will be inconvenient, for dancers who usually walk over to their tumbling classes. If we do not end up moving dance over there for the fall, I will just offer tumbling and acro at the dance studio so parents don't have to do two locations. For the summer, however, we will be split up as I don't have as many teachers in the summer as I do in the regular season.
*Onstage has sent an email out to parents suggesting that they register their students at our studio, which is a huge compliment to us and we are grateful for the kind recommendation. That doesn't mean that they will all do that, there are others to choose from that are great as well. However, for fall session, that could mean that classes fill up faster than they normally do. Those will all be available for registration on July 15th. I will add as many classes as necessary to our schedule, but if you want to pick your times, you might want to do that quickly once that opens up.
I will keep everyone posted about the move and any new info that you need to know.
